CENTRIFUGAL BLAST WHEEL

WHEEL Two direct drive blast wheels revolve at 3510 RPM. Standard blast wheel is 12 inch in diameter and has seven curved blades. Components are balanced for smooth operation.

BLADES Snap-lock design eases blade replacement. Curved blades provide maximum abrasive control 

and are cast from abrasive resistant alloy.

CONTROL CAGE Dial type cage.

WHEEL HOUSING  1/4 in steel plate, completely lined with alloy steel liners. 

All liners are replaceable.

CABINET CONSTRUCTION

CABINET Pit-less type, all welded structurally reinforced cabinet is fabricated from 0.25 in steel plate. Rear access door. Back wall 0.5 in Manganese.

CAROUSEL CONSTRUCTION

DUAL CHAMBER CAROUSEL Structurally reinforced and fully welded carousel is fabricated from 0.25 in and 0.375 in steel plate. Carousel revolves on a 3 in diameter shaft supported by a heavy duty thrust bearing. Hook spindles are provided on each chamber.

LINING The carousel chambers lined with cast alloy. Top and bottom of chambers lined with abrasive resistant steel.

DRIVE  Carousel revolved by an electric motor and gear reducer activating a low-speed high-torque (HTD) type drive assembly. PLC programming eliminates old-style mechanical relays and timers and allows for easier troubleshooting. Adjustable stops on carousel top working in conjunction with proximity switches provide variable indexing.

HOOK SPINDLE Continual rotation of hook spindle during blasting operation provides full exposure of parts to the blast pattern.

OPTIMUM BLAST COVERAGE

Maximum area provided for material to be blasted is 24 in diameter x 48 in long.

SCREW CONVEYOR Heavy duty 6 in screws.

ELEVATOR Centrifugal discharge belt and bucket elevator. Screw adjusted shaft take-ups provide positive belt alignment.

ABRASIVE SCREENING Primary screen in cabinet is 0.5 in x 0.25 in and secondary perforated rotary screen is 0.25 in.

SEPARATOR Single 20 in lip separator.

ABRASIVE CONTROL VALVES  Totally enclosed butterfly valves are air cylinder operated and fully adjustable for abrasive flow control.

ABRASIVE REQUIRED 2,000 pounds.

ELECTRICS

Type 12 electrical enclosed, thermal overload protection for all motors, standard 230/460 volt ammeter, oil tight push-button controls. Timer controls the abrasive flow.

ELECTRIC MOTORS

All motors are totally enclosed and fan cooled to provide maximum life. Standard 230/460 volt 3-phase.
